How much space do I have?
The initial space is allocated as 10Mb, which equates to about 10 Million characters of text, or quite a lot of graphics. For Example, a GIF button or bullet point is usually 2-5K of data, and a logo around 10-25K, but a simple page of text is around 3K. There are 10,240k's available in 10Mb's.
What happens if i use all my space?
Space on our system is automatically monitored, when you reach 10Mb you cannot do anything more, until you delete something or order more space. So please do not leave old copies of pages or images on your site, as they will reduce your available space.
How much space have I used?
You can use the Unix command quota to find out how much you have used so far. NT does not provide information in this way however.
How do I get more?
Please give us a call or fax us with a request for more space.
Do my log files incur on my space?
No. Your active log files do not use up your 10Mb allocation, and log files are compressed weekly. The Web Space reports that are placed in your www directory are about 20K each, and do incur on your quota. You are welcome to delete these log file reports once you have read them.
Do my cgi scripts incur on my space?
Yes, Any CGI scripts are included in your space; NB. CGI bin scripts that produce log files, or store data will also use up your space. |
