  Databases

Corpex currently supports only Access databases. You can use any version of Access from 2 to 2000. However, for optimum performance we recommend that only 97 and subsequent versions are used.

Corpex will setup a System DSN to point to the database after you upload. We do not support any other method, including direct path-based and FileDSN-based methods, of accessing databases. We also do not support Connection Pooling.

  Databases - Setup Procedure

The first step before you can use an Access database on one of the Corpex NT servers is to purchase our ODBC Database service. You can do this by contacting sales@corpex.com .

You should then upload your database into a subdirectory of your site. There must be nothing else in that directory. We will not be able to setup your database unless it is in an empty subdirectory. Once you have uploaded the database, you must notify us so that we can finalize the setup; your database will not work until we know where it is.

We will then setup a System DSN pointing to the database you specify. The name of the DSN will be the username for the site. This cannot be changed.

You should make sure that you use the System DSN; we do not support any other method of accessing databases, and we may stop database access if the DSN is not being used.
