This step-by-step guide is designed to help you publish your site to a Corpex NT server for the first time. A more general guide can be found in the FrontPage 2002 Help system.
The first thing to do is to select 'Publish Web...' from the File menu.

Note: Remember to connect to the internet before opening FrontPage. Otherwise FrontPage may not realise it is connected and will look for the web, you wish to publish to, on your local computer.
You'll get a dialog box like this:

You should enter your domain name in the box at the top - you should enter the full URL for your site.
You will see a dialog box like this:

You should enter the username and password you requested when your site was setup. If you do not know these, you can contact our support team at support@corpex.com . Please note that we cannot tell you what your password is; if you cannot remember your password we will have to change it. For security reasons we require a fax on headed paper requesting any password change. Our fax number is +44 (0)845
050 1899.
You should now have a dialog box looking a bit like this:

The 'Publish from:' address should be the location of your website on your local computer. The 'to:' address will be your real domain name instead of 'mydomain.com'.
If this is the first time you are publishing your site to a Corpex NT server, you should select 'Include subwebs'. Now click on the 'Options...' button.
Obviously, you will have put your real domain name instead of 'mydomain.com'.... You can now press the 'Publish' button.
You should now see a dialog box like this one:

If this is the first time you are publishing your site to a Corpex NT server, you should select 'All pages, overwrite pages already on destination'.
If you are updating your site, publishing is quicker if you select 'Changed pages only'.
You should now return to a dialog box looking a bit like this:

You can now press the 'Publish' button.
If you have entered all the details correctly, FrontPage 2002 will then publish your site. You will see a dialog box like this one when it has finished:

If FrontPage gives you an error message instead, you should first double-check the settings in the first few steps. If you are sure that they are correct, you should then contact our support team - support@nt.corpex.com . |
